  2. On the President vs. PM bickering (it just floors me how public they are being about that), do you think that this will dissuade voters from participation in the future? I can imagine some people might find this behavior distasteful from heads-of-state and might think if this is Georgian democracy, why bother? Thoughts?

Thanks for the podcast as always!

  3. on PM vs President and the question who will attend the UN Climate Change Summit: Georgia has a positive reputation in international climate change negotiations so far, because some negotiatiors are very active, but also it#s been perceived as a proactive country e.g. due to past commitments on rrenawable energy (realted to Georgia’s hydropower potential). That’s why a representative from Georgia is among the 24 board members of the Green Climate Fund, just to give one example. The sad thing about the ongoing debate between PM and President is that both are probably unaware of this positive international reputation, and the damage they might cause to it with this completely nationally motivated conflict. The worst case would be that they have separate teams writing their speeches and present two different commitments on climate change to the world. My recommendation would be to send the one who shows the strongest commitment on climate change to the Climate Change summit, but I haven’t seen a real commitment on the issue to be addressed in NY from either one yet.

  4. I can’t believe you didn’t mention that 11 September is the National Day of Catalonia, marking the fall of Barcelona to Spanish troops in 1714 (i.e. precisely three hundred years ago)!

  5. I think the main issue between Navarro and the PM, is the fact that the Tbilisi McDonalds earnings have dropped since he left, hence the big decline in the DFI
