  2. Mark, I believe you should demand a more accurate translation from your aides. Margvelashvili did not say in his interview to the Russian Channel that he will go to Sochi. He said “this possibility is being deliberated in the team”, which is obviously short of decision to go, even though to many this is also objectionable.

  3. I would like to point out that Identoba was going to open a 4 month winter shelter for homeless people + families, not children. The organization got a generous offer from an unknown person to use his or her 80 meter square apartment in Bagebi to open a homeless shelter. A number of other organizations, e.g. social workers, psychologists and lawyers, were supposed to collaborate to make this work. The idea was announced up to 2 months ago and Identoba was actively gathering donations for the project.

The drama started when the secretary at the Patriarchate – Michael Botkoveli suddenly announced that the shelter would, in fact, be for children, and that Identoba would indoctrinate them into becoming gays. He also said that the Church would not let this happen. Moreover, Neighbors started calling the owner of the apartment space saying that they did not want to have such a shelter run by Identoba in their neighborhood and that they would actively oppose its proper functioning.

Based on this negative reaction Identoba decided to give up this particular option, but said that they would spend already gathered resources in the same direction and come up with another way of opening a shelter.
